Marian Bartsch is a Producer of a number of successful television documentaries and lifestyle series for the local and international market . From 2003 – 2006 she produced four series of the successful travel/adventure/Food series Surfing the Menu with Curtis Stone and Ben O’Donoghue. This series has sold into over 40 territories world wide.
In Dec 2009,Marian produced a new food series entitled Quickies in my Kitchen with Anna Gare for the Lifestyle Food Channel.
Between 2007 –2009 Marian produced three series of The Best in Australia for the Lifestyle Channel in Australia and this series is distributed by ABC Content Sales and will screen on UKTV in 2010.
Marian also produced the documentaries, What in the World is Feng Shui? X- XPats-the Pats-Alien Connection & Hoover’s Gold. Another documentary entitled The Fabulous Flag Sisters jointly won the Award for the Best Documentary at the 2008 Roma Film Festival plus four major awards at the 2009 (WASA) Western Australian Screen Awards in 2009.
Before she established her own independent film company, in February1999, Marian consulted to several Production Companies and travelled to Asia regularly securing television projects, documentaries, series and major corporate productions. This included a children’s magazine programme entitled Kids In Charge for Singapore Television and an Art series, One Small Island Island, a 13 part series about Singapore artists commissioned by Singapore TV12.
Marian also Executive Produced Appetite for Asia , a 13-part cooking/travel series shot in Singapore in 1998. This series was supported by Tourism Singapore and has been sold internationally.
In 1998 Marian executive produced the short film Pilbara Pearl. This film has won much critical acclaim (finalist at the 1999 Aspen Shortfest) and it screened on SBS, and Channel 4 Films in the UK. This short film won a gold ACS award in 1999, for best cinematography in Australia for a short film
